first off, mahjik, you must be color blind. his wheels are charcoal....that's close to gunmetal to me, but i'm color blind, too. (i know cause ben told me )

second; 7 sins, what did you do for matching the center caps? if you have any paint left over, i might ask you to send me some -- i'll pay, of course. i told ben i wanted black or gunmetal but needed to know what to do for the center caps. he told me to ask you..so i'm asking.

Blind? I guess so because in those pics, they look black to me. Gunmetal rims seem to have more of a brown'ish hue to them. That's effect I'm talking about.

Thanks everyone for the compliments

Spoolin,

I brought my rim into pep boys before I put the tires on so I could get some paint that matched.

They don’t match 100% but the best I could find. If you don’t have any luck let me know and I might be able to send you some.

The rims probably look darker in the pictures because of the shadows and long shutter speeds used to capture the night better.

No problem, they definitly look different in the picture you have.

Actually now that I think about it, the rims I was thinking about were bronze, not gunmetal. So I was thinking about the wrong thing anyway.

you have to open the picture you already attached and get the url---in your case
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=957539
copy that in between the img brakets... just make sure to take the space out of the first one. (Thats the only way I could get it to show you)

What you do when your first posting the photo, is to upload it with the attach function. Then post, go back to your post and click the link to the image, take the URL from the address bar along the top, edit your original post to put some [img.][/img.] tags.

BTW: If you quote this message, you can see how I linked the image.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those wheels are powder coated with a color called "Black Chrome". How I know I just had my 18" wheels powder coated that color. It has a flip color to it. During the day the wheels look gray at certain angles but can also look black as well. Where as at night the wheels look all black. I love the color It made my 7 look really mean. If I can find a digital camera I'll post some pics. Tony

Very similar, good call. I asked for a Dark Charcoal Grey and it has a little perl/metalic look to it up close unlike the black chrome where its a smoother color. I like them both and would love to see pics of your 7 once you get them up.
