has anyone here ever imported an rx7 or any car for that matter from japan to the us. i'd like to know whats all involved and what all you have to do to get the car street legal here. from what i found i can get a 3rd gen for about $8500-9500 and it about $2000 to get it shipped to the us. but i dont know whats involved after that. im sure there are advantages to the japan spec car, but one of the main reasons i wanted one is the right hand drive, it would make one of these cars stand out even more. any help would be great, or if you know of any other places to research this.

If its a 93 to 95 you can do. if not you might be screwed. But I have seen a lot of crazy right drive cars that shouldnt be here registered. and street legal.
