Why go through all that when you can just buy regular FD?

Why don't you just take that money and buy a local FD...

Then take all that extra money you would throw away and hook up the US RX-7. Or are you that gung-ho about the simple novelty of driving around town like a postman ?

The question has already been addressed, alot, and dismissed.

Driving an RHD vehicle is kinda confusing at first, than it's kinda cool. Then you realize that you have to bring a friend along if you plan on going through a drive-thru... I am in the same boat (but turned the other way) having one of the few LHD FD's in the UK. It's interesting, people look at you more (especially cops...) but in the end there are little things that just get annoying...

Also, there is a search function built into these forums. Try it.

A simple search of "importing" brought me over 10 pages of threads. The first page just so happened to have a guy promoting his company that specializes in... importing cars from japan...

Here is the link to that thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ight=importing I hope your parents are willing to spend the money for a rebuild...

It's not about the "inconvenience" of it, it's about the fact that it's nearly impossible to LEGALLY legalize the vehicle. There are a few ways you can do it illegally, but then if you are EVER caught, you are in some deep ****. Way too much work or way too much risk just for the novelty of driving on the right.

In case the others haven't made it obvious, it's pretty important that you have all the paperwork figured out before it arrives. It's really good that you made this post because I would expect the outcome of this deal be that you lose a lot of money and/or the car meets a crusher.
