I'm a newb, tons of questions, HELP ME!!!!

I just bought a heavily modifed '93 base. It has been sitting for quite some time a has a few problems to say the least. Compression is fine. I have tried searching but haven't had very good luck. Anyway, it has a single turbo conversion. I'm not sure what it is but something like a T-66 I believe. 4in downpipe and exhaust with no cat. I has a Tial wastegate on the turbine housing I think. Greddy fmic, RS bov, and profec b. KGparts secondary fuel rail with ??injectors, SX afpr. I would assume it has a fuel pump. Alright now to my questions:

Tune-up: Plan on replacing all normal things. From what I have gathered, use castrol gtx for oil, ngk plugs w/ magnecore wires, synthetic trans fluid. I will also change the oil filter and fuel filter. What else should I change?

There are unplugged connectors everywhere. There is a harness under the intake manifold that only has 1 out of 10 connectors plugged in. To my understanding it has something to do with the secondary fuel rail. I doesn't seem like there are any matching plug ins. Can someone please explain secondary fuel rails in detail for me. Also any suggestions about the harness are greatly appreciated.

The car idles around 3,000 rpms. I will die sometimes times at idle unless you give it a little gas. Once it gets warmed up it doesn't die. When you drive it the motor will cut out if your not giving it gas sometimes. It drives great at partial throttle but bogs out at full throttle. There is nothing tuning it so I was wondering if it could be from too much fuel. Also there are unplugged vacuum lines and 4 open ports on the intake manifold. Any links to a vacuum line diagram would be appreciated.

Also the turbo is so close to the radiator hose there is no room for a filter. It just has a screen on it now. Is that safe?

I can't seem to get the links to work, but there a pics at photobucket.com. My account name is liv4psi and my password is iforget. Maybe some who is smater than me help post them directly onto this thread. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the help.

Wanting to learn about the car is good and everything, and something you should do EVENTUALLY. However, it sounds like you bought someone's unfinished project. There are so many things that may need fixing or finishing that it would be impossible to help you over the internet.

I strongly suggest you get the car to a shop that is experienced with modified FDs, such as the RX7 Store, Banzai Racing, or KD Rotary.

You're in the general area of the RX7 Store, so you might want to give Jason a call:

As for the unplugged plugs, once an FD has been converted to single turbo, the soleniod rack is eliminated (hence all the plugs without mates under the upper manifold.
