Sweet car, I love montego blue, and the wheels go real well with the lines of the FD. Good choice!

NICE CAR rotorbrain,

I have the same size rims as you at 8.5" & 9.5"...Do you know how wide a tire can we put on them? I have 265's in the rear as well. I'd like to go with a 285, but I'm not sure if it'll fit.

BTW, I'm not sure if you want your parking lights/turn signals to be opaque...But a body shop owner told me that you can buff those parking lights be crystal clear again by just using some paint polish and rag. It worked nicely for me.

nice car rotor... I dig the wheels... that's the price on tire rack? really? wow... I gotta look into those.

By the way, what's the weights of those babies though? Hopefully they aren't too heavy?

Awesome car

All you need is 3 things to make it perfect
Buy just the turn signal covers from mazda. It's about 45 shipped for both and then your turn signals will look like they did in 94.

Next, paint your calipers black and sand/polish the mazda logo

3d get some efini emblems I think black would look nice for front/rear

About $100 and you'll be rollin

I have 275 Kumho's on the back of my car right now, and by the look of it, i don't think i could fit anything wider.

I think it really depends on the tire choice, wheel offset and suspension set up. I'm running Advan A048s on my 18x9.5"+40 in the rear with an Eibach/Koni combo and thus far have no probs. I believe ZoomZoom also ran 285/30/18 on his 9.5" +40 with no probs as well.

Most tire manufacturers do not recommend mounting a 285/30 18 tire on an 18x9.5 wheel. The wheel cannot properly support a tire that wide with that short of a profile. 265/35 is the ideal tire size, with 275/35 still being ok (although too tall for my tastes).

The car and wheels look good, Paul. I concur with the turn signal treatment, I just got new ones and they look 100% better...

hahaha, thanks a lot guys!!!!

the lights. . . i decided not to mess with em cause i was going with another bumper. . . then, my wife got pregnant. . . and well. . . time has escaped me. hahaha, ill probably end up buying the upgraded stock looking ones. . .

calipers. . . i was gonna get em powdercoated. . . but decided to leave that alone because of the cost. . . now, its the wife thing again. paint will be in the near future. . . gonna paint the rotor bells too. . . they look nasty.

the intercooler is a totally one-off job. apexi skyline gtr core adapted to my car. . . lotsa work. . . lotsa cutting. . . lotsa cooling. i like it.

thanks for the nice words guys. . . makes me feel better about owning one of these cars.

Awesome car! Those tires looked way wider than 265's to me also. I really want to put 295's on my next wheel, but again, fittament issues might be a problem.
