I'm back again with more questions/concerns

Ok so I found a 1993 RX7 from another board member... I'm goin to meet up with him tomorrow night and check it out. It has a pettit ecu, full exhaust, cone filters on the intake a intercooler and a mbc set to 10psi. 20k on the engine 58k on the body hes selling it for a fair price... This car will be replacing my 87 FC thats extremely modded and only gets 120 miles to the tank with out pushing boost at all. Everyone on the FD side is gettin atleast 200 a tank you lucky basterds. So yes this will be replacing the FC... the FC will get parked in the garage and the FD will become the new daily driver. The owner says he see's no reason why it cant be driven daily and niether do I since I do take car of my vehicles... so what do you guys think?

Pettit stuff is good and safe. Do the champagne test along with compression test. If both are good, buy it. Would'nt hurt to put it on a lift somewhere and take a good look underneath

Theres plenty of people that daily drive their FDs, including myself, with no problems. If possible, look at the car again in the day time to get a better idea of the car's condition. A compression test and a coolant test are things you should try to get out of the way. Check out the tranny since bad 5th gear syncros are common with these cars. Just follow your gut instinct and dont be blinded by the fact thats its an FD.

How are we supposed to make your decision for you? Check out the potential problems you would look for in any used car and make your decision. It's always best to take along a knowledgable FD person or get the car checked out by a rotary mechanic first.
