Ignition cuts of while driving
Hello,
on a S6 FD the ignition cuts off after some minutes driving and the car goes out.
Starting is not possible. I checked it with timing light, theres no spark till the car cools down then it works normal for some minutes.
Checked the coils
Installed a new ignitor
New Cables
New Plugs
Checked ground.
What can it be?
regards
Bastian

Could be something with the crank angle sensors, maybe they have a bad connection or something is up with the trigger wheel.
When it cuts out, does the tach drop immediately to zero or does it keep reading as the revs fall?

did you ever fix this problem? I am having a similar problem but my engine floods when it dies. I can't start it unless I wait or I deflood it. car stalls at Idle, or cruising.

The Problem was a broken ECU from Adaptronic. They sent a replacement and the problem is gone.
