I run the HKS, so far it works great plus if you get the adapter harness there is no cutting wires

I've been using the HKS unit for a while now.

You won't necessarily see an immediate leap in power with the HKS unit. What you will see, however, is a much more steady and consistant spark at high RPM and higher boost. This is critical for getting the most out of your setup, because ignition breakup = inability to hold power.

So I'm not sure if it "gives" you more power necessarily... though it will give you the capability to make more power with proper tuning.

I have no experience with the Jacobs unit.

Go with the twinpower. Expensive but it plugs right in and works excellent.

Another vote for the twinpower. I run one and it really helped eliminate breakup at high boost. And the optional harness is well worth the money. It makes the install take about 5 minutes.

For a little bit more money and work I would go the custom route. In the mean time you can also upgrade your coils. I've installed Twinpower amps and they do make a crisp Idle and all around the rpm's are smoother. I'm running three ignition amps with all msd coils and custom made Nology hot wires. There's nothing better that other than going to a standalone that allows you to control the amplification via laptop...

When you mount the HKS TwinPower, be sure to use rubber isolaters to mount it.

A few TwinPowers have been damaged by vibration after a few thousand miles.

If you don't have cruise control, you can easily use the cruise control bracket (next to the M/C) to mount the HKS, it fits pretty pretty well there, and the CC bracket uses rubber isolaters.

Putting an MSD (or other multi-strike) on the leading coil will improve the low end and drivability of the car, esp. with high overlap porting, etc.. If you need more spark for very high boost levels, then use amps on the trailing coils.

go with the twinpower. its plug & play with the harnes, works both leading and trailing coils, made for the rotary, and is proven to work on high hp engines . I added it to my FD when it was stock and noticed faster starts, better idle, faster low end responce and less emissions out of the tail pipe. I would say at least 5-10 more hp just adding this device.
