yes get it fixed. if the hose has deteriorated enough to have a leak, it is just waiting to burst. apparently coolant is flamable and a number of 7s have been taken down with engine fires because the coolant leaks onto the exhaust

It's usually starting to leak during the "heat-soak" state...

Yeah, a coolant leak is a coolant leak - doesn't matter on temperature. Might leak a bit worse as it warms and the hose swells.

Regardless, fix it NOW - coolant leaks are a VERY bad thing.

Coolant leak means maybe a burst hose at any time. Find it, fix it.

I have an issue sorta like that -- noticed it the day I testdrove the car. After a lengthy drive the overflow tank will leak a small amount (less than an fl oz.) of coolant. The coolant levels never change noticably but it seems to happen here and there -- only seen it 6-7 times (one of which was due to overfilling by the dealer)

What's with the pic in your signature? You into watercooling your comp I take it?

I had a problem with mine where it would steam after i shut off the car. It wasn't that the car was overheating or anything but the thing would never steam while i was driving it. I found that one of the metal coolant pipes on the turbos had a small crack that expanded once heat soak set in. I could tell that's what it was when i pulled it apart because of that tell tale white crusty residue that the coolant left. There was a little pile of it that was sitting on the turbo manifold. Sure glad i found that because I was scared it was the coolant seals. this could be what's happening.......just a thought.
