Idle problems with 93 fd

Hi,
New to FD's and wondered if this was normal. I know I need to adjust my TPS as my idle is fluctuating between 300 and 1200 rpm depending on its mood and will sometimes stall at the lights. It just drops really low and usually bounces back up when it stabilises.

The thing that I have noticed is that if I put my foot on the brake while idling the revs will drop about 140 rpm and then it will rise again when I release the brake.

It has a new battery and the charging side has been checked and seems fine.

Is this normal or have I got a problem or is it just the damn TPS complaining.

Thanks for any help.

Gordon

check the TPS first using the instructions off this site:

http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/TPS_adjustment.html

then post your numbers on the forum

That and also check your alternator..... disconnect the battery when the car is running and when the car starts to stumble then most likely your alternator is going out.
