Unhappy Idle issue after powerFC install HELP!

All,

hope you all can help me again.. my car was running pretty normal until i installed a new powerFC. I installed it according to the FAQ on the powerFC forum (thanks for the write up on the how to). After the install i noticed that my car idle normal only when the AC is on (about 900-950) but if i turn the AC off the idle spike up to 1200 and goes up and down (from 1200 to 1500).

i tried to adjust the idle screw to about 1/2 then 1/4 but still no luck... i heard that you can adjust it with the powerFC commander? i'm a real rookie at the power fc so if someone can point me to the right place i would greatly appricated.

thanks

yes, i did 10 min of each... i even try to adjust the idle then let it learn again...

if i leave the car idle for more than 40 second (im guessing) then the idle work fine but when i drive the car and hit a red light then the idle jump up/down... kind of embarrasing because people think i want to race them

Did you cut the 4 wires when you installed the PFC?

One thing I like to try under Settings-->rev/idle is set A.E and E/L idle to 850 and A/C idle to 950, then first set all three fuel cut settings to 1200. Then if I have idle problems after decelerating I play around with the fuel cut settings, changing all three at once. Try setting all three 1250, 1300, etc. And then try numbers lower than 1200 and see if that does anything. The fuel cut settings seem to affect the ISC behavior on deceleration. Sometimes progressively changing the fuel cut rpm in increments of 10 is what's needed to get it right. Yesterday in fact I just dropped fuel cut settings of 1500 down to 1420 and noticed a lot less idle sticking. This was on a car with stock twins. I wish I could help you further but it's hard when I don't have the car in front of me. With proper adjustment I have gotten more than one car to idle like stock on a PFC with the ISC valve still installed.

I have posted about this type of stuff recently, do a search.

What map are you running? Did you buy the PFC new or used? What are your mods?
