I wish someone would create a padded armrest for the driver's door!

Anyone with some talent: I think it would sell very well...I know Mazda made the ashtray replacement, but it's pretty useless IMHO and it's my left elboy that gets uncomfortable on long drives.

I'm thinking about a replacement for the door bin cover with the same padding & material as the ashtray pad. Maybe a direct replacement or something with mini suction cups to attach it. I don't know, anything would be better than that hard plastic!

The only way I would put something in my car was if it looked nice, not a bunched up rag with black tape on it, y'know?

Anyone out there with the capability to do this, PLEASE DO IT..

Thanks...I look forward to buying one from you soon

I would suggest getting some adhesive-backed foam/neoprene padding, and cutting it to shape... i've seen motorcycle shops sell the stuff.

DEFINITLEY DO IT! I would love a padded arm rest... but I don't want something that looks homemade... I think a lot of people would want this, especially if it is professionally made. (By the way, I need the lid too, so let me know when you make stronger replacements).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE offer this! I have to imagine that it will sell really well....once you make it in your high quality fashion, people will realize that they not only want one, but they need one!

I'm in for this idea too. That bin door on mine has a light crack on it in the middle...not bad though.

Good question... I have no problem with hard-working creative people making a decent profit... pricing should depend partly on how difficult, costly, & time consuming the build is. BUt like they said above... you WILL have demand for these. Make a small batch of them, & see how fast they go (so long as my name is already on the list of people that get from the 1st batch).

I agree with TMadlem84....pricing should depend on quality, materials, labor, demand, etc...once it's created a price can be justified. But I guarantee that a small batch would definitely fly....count me and TMadlem84 in for the first of 'em.
