Very nice pictures, what do you have coated on your turbo? Is that to keep the heat down in the engine bay?

Car looks great. I wish my engine bay was as clean as yours. I really like the powercoated UIM and compressor housing.

I love your car i commented in your nopistons thread. You wrote something about your apex seals and how they didnt break under detonation even when the damn rotors got dented. Which seals do you have?

Thanks for all the compliments its been a lot of hard work and learning...imagine someone posting pictures of their car in the 3rd gen section and no flames.

I think you know the answer to that...but for everyone else...I won them in a raffle at the Rotary Deal's Gap Adventure back in April put on by key forum members. This was the first non-Mazda mod, and I think I caught the exterior mod bug from it, thanks PHIL

I did all the coatings myself. Wrinkle Black powder coat.

That is powder coat and is for looks, all the exhaust components are ceramic coated satin black, and that keeps the temps down...some-what.

yes, I remember that thread...wasn't my motor, but one we tore down...I am using the same seals. RA 2mm with RA springs and solid corner seals.

I caught a lot of slack about this at the "other" forum...what if this...what if that...what about...blah blah blah.

Truth of the matter, I put it there for tuning purposes only and to keep the inside stock looking. I don't look at it on the track, while autoX'ing or driving period...I have faith in my set-up, and Haltech will cut fuel as soon as boost is 0.Xpsi over what I set fuel cut to. I might remove it after I strap her to the dyno...hopefully I'll get some time in October.

to give an idea of the power...I was playing Cat and Mouse on the interstate one night with a friend on a 750 Gixxer. He told me he had to shift into 3rd at 90mph to keep up with me. My goal was 340rwhp...

My favorite Mod
If you look at the pic with the turbo you can see my firewall disconnect for my engine harness in the upper left...the shiny nickel plated thingee

Dubulup, I know you've posted this info before, but who makes the quick-disconnect harness? Is it Deutsch?

And I'm a big fan of the stealth-black engine parts.

Thanks fella's!

Moehler - spreading some 95 love

Scotty305 - AMP makes the connector...(tech.dubulup makes the harness)
it's funny because I believe AMP makes the other connectors as well, at least they make the single spade style connectors for the oil pressure sender or the coolant temp sender.

I knew by your posts over the years that your car would be sweet, it's perfect!
Nobody is flaming because you have taste. I try to understand the work some people have into their cars, but when it doesn't look good why lie?

I don't like the placement of the boost guage. It's original but obviously one of the most dangerous places to be looking while driving.

What does it run at the track?
