What are the chances of TurboJeff or someone making a tray for the 51R yellow top battery?

Have you contacted him to see if he has any?

Jeff has been out of FD's for awhile now, though I think he will watches the forum.

I would be interested too! Ive tried contacting him with no luck..

I've heard so mch about these trays but never seen one, any pics ???

Optima started production on them again. The specs are a little different from the original model though.

i think i have that one.. ill sell it if someone needs it since i relocated my battery......... anybody know the dimensions so i can make sure its the right size?

Jeff has been helping me with my build. I mentioned that people were looking for more of his trays (6-12 months ago) and he seemed uninterested in putting the work into organizing production and dealing with distribution. I'll pass the thread on though.

Another round is always possible. The problem is quantity. 20 is the minimum qty to get a decent cost on making the trays. 40 trays makes the cost reasonable. I get probably 1-2 PMs a month about the trays but I typically don't respond.

If someone wants to put a group buy together I will support it, quantity has to be over 20.

How many amps on the odyssey vs the 51R?

Does the TurboJeff battery tray fit the Costco 51R? How many amps is that battery? Do they still sell it?

I might need the odyssey because my IC may be too wide for the Optima...

51r is a standard battery size, my tray will fit any 51R battery.
Cranking amps varies per battery. I believe Optima started making 51R again, it had the most cranking amps.

Are you guys interested in a GB for the following battery mount? It can be Optima specific or Universal 51/51R. It's gonna be about $25~$38 + shipping, depending on volume. No minimum order.

Dimensions:

Bottom plate: 5-1/4 D x 9-3/8 W
Top plate: 6-1/2 D x 6-1/2 W
Height: 8-1/2 H

How much does that weigh? I have someone who will do the battery tray as well if you guys want one.

5.5 lbs for the steel one. An aluminum one is also possible.

How many of you are interested in a CF version of this?? I have one of these that I was going to make a CF box and top cover.. Pretty much, I have Turbo Jeff's tray and going to use it to fab up the CF version.. I have a fabricator interested in making these pending interest..

I'd be interested in the CF one if it's less than $50, or else I think an aluminum would suffice since the CF one is not gonna be that much lighter to justify the additional cost.

Pre-preg/ dry carbon version with a lid?

51R Duralast GOLD
 

^^ Yep, I run the Autozone type, the Duralast GOLD :) I have the exact same battery in my '01 Integra. works great, NEVER have cranking issues or running accessories with this thing. My girlfriend's FD has one of those Odesseys and it just gave up the ghost, had to jump start her car like three times last weekend :tonque:
