I want one!!!

I am 18 years old and I always wanted a RX-7 but everyone keeps telling me that the motors don't last long at all. I think those are people that don't know how to take care of cars but could someone tell me what are some of the major problems they have. I am trying to choose between the RX and a 1993 Nissan 300ZX TT. I know the RX-7 will kill it with less horsepower and they handle better. Which car would you get? I have a second car so I would only drive maybe on the weekends. And what are some of your 1/4 mile times when the car is stock. I dont want to get a little civic and have to put $70,000 in it just to run what a STOCK RX-7 could run and I really could use all of the information on the RX-7 i can get.
