Compression test will tell you the health of your engine. Make sure the car is warmed up then have the test done. Also, you can only have the test done at your Mazda Dealership or a rotary shop.

How many miles on engine?? Are u sure all vacum hoses are in place. Check out the boost sensor hose on the driver's side firewall. With those hose out, u will lose power and idle like ****. Make sure hose is connected to nipple. Good luck...

Umm, not too sure, only a compression test will show like RecKleSs said.

One thing though.....when I disconnected my airpump and removed it, my car ran like hell too. My vacuum was at about 12hg/in and the idle was erratic, so I put it back in. Might wanna hook it back up just in case, might as well try, it won't cost anything if it doesn't help.

If it idles like **** (really lumpy) and makes no power....that's a strong sign. Compression test is a must. Don't drive it to the shop. If the apex seal is gone, it may not have wiped out the turbos (though mine sure did - but then I drove it).

Good luck. Good excuse for a ported engine

Hey ek9220ps,

Calm down, and take the caps off first thing.

Next, you need to look over your car, check out your coolant situation, your idle, vacuum, boost, MAP sensor, etc.

There are quite a few things that can make your car run crappy besides a blown engine.

If need some help, I live close in the area and we can meet and take a look.

Let me know.
