I think I may have just blown another motor....
....in my damn CRX! ****** thing--supposed "Honda reliability!" Blah! Car just shut down on it's own, now it won't start; the starter just freewheels. The engine only turns over for a sec. Well, off to go see what I can find

i think it got jealous that you werent modifying it at all....
begging some jap spec B18 or whatever now....heheh
or just hook up 5 hamster wheels to a shaft and a HUGE gear reduction.....go to pet store and get hyper rodents....go online and buy steroids for rodents....

AHAH well you figure the NEWEST your CRX must be is a 91.....and I bet you have 928482308320 miles on it.
Have faith at least motors for those POS are cheap even if you drop in a B16 or something. B16 usually run for $1600 installed.

why did you even post it here? Wasn't trying to bust your *****. Do we really need to know about a CRX in a "3rd gen specific forum"? I saw the irony, so could everyone else in the lounge.

I have a '91 CRX-SI with 200k mi on it. My bro used to do major tune ups every 30k on it. In my opinion the difference between a timing belt and apex seal is on the CRX you only have to pull the head and not the whole engine. OK, sidetracked ...I'd get the head and cam shaft bored by Gude performance. For $1500 they claim to get the car in the high 13's.
