AHAH well you figure the NEWEST your CRX must be is a 91.....and I bet you have 928482308320 miles on it.

Have faith at least motors for those POS are cheap even if you drop in a B16 or something. B16 usually run for $1600 installed.

This is the 3rd gen specific section, not the 3rd gen tech section. If you're going to try and bust *****, at least be correct about it.

And I put it here as kind of a joke---make people think I blew my FD motor, but it's (potentially) the Honda motor instead. Can't you see the irony here?

 

Now that you really cleared that up, why did you even post it here? Wasn't trying to bust your *****. Do we really need to know about a CRX in a "3rd gen specific forum"? I saw the irony, so could everyone else in the lounge.

Even so, that car isn't in my taste either. Just not cool to go rag on other people's rides, especially another FD.

 

Personally it doesn't bother me too much as I get more tired of "Can someone post pics of black FD's?" and like wise subjects but if you have a fish to fry here than that's your opinion I guess. Everyone's entitled to their own.

It's not the first time someones posted something 3rd gen specific in the 3rd gen specific forum I am sure.

(P.S. It wouldn't have been as funny if he would have posted it in the lounge because he's not very well know by loungers and there's more "motor blowing" done by FD owners I think than anyone else....)

I get what you're saying. No I don't have a "fish to fry". Infact I respect Goodfella and what he brings to the rx7 community. In fact he has helped me with my boost controller problem even though I don't think he will remember. I guess it was the straw that broke the camel's back. I know exaclty what you mean by getting tired of "Can someone post pics of black FD's?". Just got dog piled with the rest and said what was said. Fact of matter is it didn't belong here. Anyways I don't moderate or own this forum, just a spectator. . Just lately it seems to be a lot of clutter in here and its hard to do a search and have so many pointless threads. I have a '91 CRX-SI with 200k mi on it. My bro used to do major tune ups every 30k on it. In my opinion the difference between a timing belt and apex seal is on the CRX you only have to pull the head and not the whole engine. OK, sidetracked ...I'd get the head and cam shaft bored by Gude performance. For $1500 they claim to get the car in the high 13's.
