I think i blew my secondary turbo!

Mods:
apexi intake
HKS PFC FCON
Greddy Profec S
ASP large SMIC
M2 down pipe
midpipe
Greddy PE Exhaust

I'm running 13lbs on first turbo, then the transition 4500 rpms boost goes to 14 and almost 15lbs. Ran good like this

Stuff i notice, light grey smoke from tail pipe at idle, sometimes it doesn't smoke.
When i go WOT primary good 13lbs, transition to secondary goes i see 14lbs on the boost guage, but no accleration. Feels like hit a flat peak in the rpms. No power, i think the rpms have a hard time climbing.but I see boost on the guage, but no GO. What do you all think?

if you see boost on the gauge... then your turbo is working i reckon.
i figure you have a pressure leak somewhere beyond where your boost gauge is measured from... where is your boost gauge measured from?

Could this be low compression, maybe a blown motor ?
Measured off the nipple on UIM.

i don't think so... you'd feel it right across the rev range rather than only up high.
anyone who has foolishly tried to limp a blown engine (i have) tends to feel that keeping the rev's higher helps compression... then you get heat lights and all sorts of other stuff - so don't do that!

so, you have 14psi actually in the intake system, but you're not getting any thrust?
i'm not too sure on this one... i'd suggest your APEX seals are fine but perhaps a failing side seal is losing you pressure in the actual chamber itself or a failed exhaust gasket? you can basically eliminate anything north of the intake port as your issue.

you may need a better expert on this one than me?!

thanks weebix,
The smoke coming out of the exhaust, worries me. It's not bad, but it comes and goes.

the oil injectors see to it that there is oil in the combustion cycle... that'll burn grey and because you have a midpipe and no cat it'll just come straight out of the exhaust.

it could also be caused by a high oil level causing some spillover into the turbocharger cycling.

wouldn't be overly worried about that just yet... if it becomes constant and you're oil level is in the midrange then start to think about that. how many miles on the engine/turbo?

now that i think about it, perhaps a sticking/failed side seal could allow more oil than normal into the chamber, causing intermitent smoking and pressure loss in the combustion cycle.. i.e. both your problems.

AGAIN, NO EXPERT ON THIS ONE.

I adjusted the dial on my fcon down and it seems not to smoke,
One thing i checked my oil, and it's perfect.
oh and my idle is at 800-1000 and my vacuum ranges from 14-16

changing fuel control would lean the fuel mix... rich fuel tends to be pretty black... but oh well, if that problem is gone then thats good.

we need a guru in on this thread... i'm interested in the flat spot in the rev range.

U hear what your saying. When i start it up , it spits black little piece, i'm assuming carbon onto the driveway. But the smoke is grey, it could be condensation, at start up, but when i drive like 20 miles and come back it puffing grey smoke alittle better, i turned down the dial and it seemed to lighten up. I'm going to a specialist sat morning, thanks for th replys, i hope it's something simple.

mine spits carbon crap for about 3 minutes too... seems to be exhaust soot mixed with condensation.

good luck with the professionals! hope it is something small.
