When I'm driving I smell gasoline on the driver's side, also when I shut off the car I smell it too, sorta coming from the door vents. Anyone know what the problem could be? My engine has been sounding changing sounds recently, from normal sounding (quiet) to rumbly, like an old engine. about 46,000 original engine, no mods. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Pull your UIM and check your fuel lines and FPD immediately! Many an FD with similar symptoms has burned to the ground.

But yes, check fuel lines, If I remember right it runs under the driver side *shrugs*

-.- who doesn't have some kind of leak? i have a fuel leak on the drivers side and passengers......plus an exhaust leak......

 

Fuel pulsation dampener (sp?) may be leaking

 

check the FPD! Don't want to see that poor FD burnt up
