Today was one of those days, I had to attend a seminar at a town about 25 miles away, the deal went well, I had some time to kill, and since I had taken the FD out for the first time since the shitty weather, I was ready to prowl. And......I just set about taking care of business....running hard, pushing the car, even in town...it just seemed that opportunity presented itself several times today....guys and gals...I was driving HARD! Fun, fun, fun.....what a car, what a car......God, I ******* love these FDs!
Sure, I got about 9 mpg doing this...but what the hell.....this is the sort of **** the car was made for....today, in Wichita, Kansas....I ruled!
My car and I were one, on a level that you only see a few times....damn, I wish I could have videotaped today, just to relive it!

Man, I wanted to drive my FD today, but I haven't had time to change out my dead battery. I finally got around to getting the old one out and puchasing a new one tonight.

I'll be tearing up the streets this weekend if the weather holds up..

Yeah! You know what it is like.....you....FEEL the bite of the tires, you KNOW when the boost hits, how the car will respond, you understand, at some sort of ......base, primeval level the dynamics of the chassis....yeah man....the 'Zone', for sure....
And yes....sigh...it would have been even better with a 5 speed, BUT...being able to use the automatics good features, is actually a bit of a challenge, to get it all JUST right...proper use of the 'hold' feature is hard to master....I am STILL working on it...but today....ahhhhhhh...today was GREAT!!!!!!

 

Same here. I have no idea why it went dead. I'm fixing it tommarow before the cave party in the afternoon. I hope the altenator is ok. See you guys there.
