I picked up my first FD yesterday and WOW!

Hi all,

I finally picked up the 7. I love this car. New engine so I can't twist it up yet but I can tell you it's gonna be damned fast when it's broken in.

The four hour drive home was exhilerating. I didn't want to go home, I wanted to keep driving.

This is by far the best sports car I've ever owned. I drove a Viper once so it may not the best I've ever driven. Time will tell, we'll see.

The new black paint is outstanding. I'll post pics in a week or so. I was told not to rub on it at all for another week.

I can't count all the compliments complete strangers give the car. I've had to explain what it is almost as many times as it's gotten compliments.

It's not exactly stock now. I do need a PFC next however. Plenty of things to come soon. Among the mods already, dp, cb, blitz blowoff, apexi intake, street port, and a few other odds and ends. Only running about 9psi boost for the time being.

mightyslash,

I wanted to wait until I could wash it! It needs a bath after 400 miles in 30 hours. If you insist, I'll try to post some sooner.

Ryan,

I live in Goshen. Population 1166. It's about 30 miles southwest of Staunton, off I81. I've been reading the NE forum and I was gonna come last Saturday to Hooters but I didn't get the car and couldn't find a Mgr. to cover my restaurant. I spent most of today in the car. I just had to have a good stereo so I did a road trip.

I know about the money. I have been reading here for a few weeks. I had drag car for years so I know about cars and money. I saw a quote on here the other day "If it has **** or tires, you know it's trouble." I think I have both of those covered at this point. Today on the way to Charlottesville I had two very hot women in a Z3 roadster playing chase with me on I64. I think this is going to a ton of fun!

Welcome to the Fold. The world spins on its axis, rotors spin in a housing. Go figure.

1st post:4 hour drive
3rd post:400 miles in 30 hours.
I assume you picked it up on the 22nd and drove it nonstop for 30 hours at approximately 13mph. Damn and you said someone played chase with you. Were they in a wheelchair? Just kidding.
Congrats on the car. I know when I got mine I couldn't wait to drive it, now I can't wait to be able to drive it agian. Do you have a 2nd car for downtime on the FD?

lanechange,

I have an Accord for a daily driver and an old Nissan 4wd(afterall, I do live in the sticks) so, yes I have something for the downtime.

Gee, I thought maybe I'd be lucky enough that my FD wouldn't ever have downtime! Just kidding. I'm aware of the car's reputation.

I'm ready for wheels and fresh stickies. Probably SO3's and Volk GTP's, but it's gonna have to wait. I've shot my wad for now. Maybe by July! Mo money, mo money....

Quik 93 FD,

I got the car from Clean & Fast in Raliegh. The paint job was part of the deal. Jerrry subbed it out to a shop he trusts. It's just a $1000 paint job but sure does look great. Hey man, all I know is it's black and beautiful.
