Thumbs up I passed smog!!! [with PICS]

Well, I passed smog last month! I tested with the mods below, sans the M2 Stage III ECU (it would pass with it anyways, since the off-boost maps are the same as stock).

They didn't even know what was going on in my engine bay. Also, it was a pass or don't pay station. It took two or three tries until they got it right and allowed it to pass.

Hell, the test-only guys I take it too can't find the ignition cables to get an RPM reading. I have to point it out every time.

Yeah, I am surprised I was able to pass with flying colors. To my knowledge, my main cat has over 106k miles on it.

Why did it take several tries? Was the smog tech hitting boost or were you swapping ecus ... ?

I think he was in the wrong gear or something. I'm not sure, as they didn't want me in the garage. I could only look from outside the garage.

Oh, OK. I always walk in anyway and pretend that I didn't see the "insurance reasons" sign. If I didn't walk in and lend a hand, they'd never finish.

Yes, I have seen someone pass with a single (from a website). It had a lengthy outline of what he did to pass (IIRC, some denatured alcohol was involved). If I am able to dig up the link when I get back from work, I will PM it to you.
