Talking I need help please

Hello, I have a Rx7 1992 but it is from japan. So it is the new body style. The only problem is that customs is holding it. They said they will not let my car into the country unless i have proff that the crash test results are the same as the U.S.A. Meaning the left hand driving has the same crash test as the right side. So any information consuring this where i might be able to get answers would be great please i am begging you they will deport my car feb. 04 2003. Please!!!

I don't believe they are the same, but I'm not sure. Like most foreign cars that don't make it here, thats a large factor, so I really doubt the JDM FD would be legal in stock form. How come you didn't check this before you tried to bring it over?

Also too, how do the 92 FD's from japan have the newer body style? I thought that started somewhere between 96-99+

In Japan the 92's do in fact have the 3rd gen body. Like all cars in Japan, they get the new cars before and after us. That sucks. They went from 92-99 I think. Good luck with customs. I seen a Japanese 92 rx7 on a website... I forget the name. I'll find out a post it later.

The guys are in fact correct. I am the proud owner of a 92 3rd gen rx7. Only 45,000 miles on it! I have all the documents, and it passed its crash test for the UK - it must have, coz i bought it from a local dealer. Dont know if crash testing is same in UK as USA?
