I need the expert opinions!

I'm 17 and I've been looking into rx-7's for the past two years or so. i drive a dodge stealth right now and it's just not doing it for me. i can afford the initial price of the car, however I was wondering how the rotary has done for you guys as a daily driver? while i can afford the car itself, i don't know if i can afford the maintainence that goes along with the rotary. the rx-7 is pretty much my dream car and i'd probably be willing to swap a v8 into it if it comes down to it. so i'd also like to know of other successful engine swaps that could be an option. any info would be greatly appreciated. nice cars everyone!

Just don't go outrageous w/ modding it. Keep it closer to stock but if you do upgrade something such as the turbo's or something along the lines of creating more power, make sure you do the supporting mods to keep your car happy. Do the reliablity mods, do all the regular upkeep and maintence and there should be no reason you couldn't own and enjoy the rx7 as a DD. Goodluck in your journey.

My FD is stock besides and aftermarket exhaust. I daily drive my FD, the only prblem i've had is my clutch gone a bit funny, other than that, just fuel :P. But i you keep it stock, you will be fine... just like FDwannaBe said... don't go outrageous on modding it... keep it as stock as you can get. The more mods you do, the more unreliable they become.
