I know why my O2 sensor keeps getting screwed up!

I posted, several times in fact about my stupid code 17 problems. Well, I finally figured it out and I thought you should all know this. I bought my new o2 sensor at "oxygensensors.com" Well, they do sell a cheap sensor so I thought, whats 36 bucks? I installed the new sensor and everything was grand... for at least a week!!! Then, boom!!! My car was surging again and wouldnt you know it, the code 17 came back!!! It turns out that you cant cut and solder O2 sensor wires. A mechanic at my work told me that they are stainless steel wires and solder wont stick to them!!! He was right to because when I took out the old new one with the solder on it I saw that the solder was broken off the wire!!!! Long and short of it is, if you are going to replace your 02 sensor, buy the right socket so you dont have your problem all over again in a week!

My bro-in-law (Honda mechanic) told me soldering wouldn't work but he said the reading would be off, so the engine would run shitty. What do you mean by the right socket? Do any aftermarket ones come with the wire and plug?

ok, there is a special socket that has a slot in it to slide the o2 wire through. Picture a socket with a 4 mm cut going up it.

I think he meant socket/connector the the O2 sensor to the harness...
www.oxygensensors.com has one with connector, a bit pricey than the regular sensor.
Its the OEM type sensor.

I got mine from there, its good, but now I think nothing is wrong with the old ones.
