What do you guys think about the blue intake pipes and the UIM?

Looks real nice, I started sanding my UIM but got lazy...
This is off topic but have you had any problems with your intake filters getting hard, breaking apart and getting sucked in? I've read that the heat does that to the foam HKS filters but I have one available to me for cheap.

Installed the black 94 plastic crossover pipe and elbow and the engine bay will be nice and clean. The blue does not look good in my opinion.

No problem at all, they in a good condition, and they more than 3 years old.. what I don't like about them is that they sit right above the radiator and suck in all the hot air.

I sprayed it to see how it looks, but im thinking of changing it to a gold as I think it would go nice with silver and my rims are gold aswell...

The blue does look good, but it def. looks a little out of place considering nothing else matches.

I wish I had the patience to do that.. It came out great!

Blue looks nice, but (this is just me, dont take it personally) there's nothing else blue in the engine bay to tie the whole thing together. It looks nice, but a little out of place. Are the wheels or some parts of the interior that blue as well?

I like the blue as well, but like you say the blue doesn't match anything.. nothing else is blue on my car, my wheels are actually gold..

I applaud your patience to polish it though. It looks really professional

(Coming from a guy who used to work polishing all the big crank rods on the side of steam locos during resotration- a filthy job I absolutely hated at the time..)

I used an angle grinder with a sanding disc and after that i used a disc with sponge on it to get an even smoother finish (see link) to sand the parts of it that are easily accessible.. The parts where the angle grinder couldn't get to I used a dremel tool to sand those parts down to a smoother finish. Once I had done that I started sanding the whole UIM by hand with 100 grit water-paper then 400 grit and then 600 grit. Once i was finished sanding I used a buffing wheel to finish it off to a polished look. this took me quite a while to do and once you start you cant stop..
