I just got an FD and alots do question

More then 2 years of research and saving I just bought 93 touring
Out side is mint but inside need need a little work.
I.m really happy .
It was my dream for fast 10years..
here are Questions.

It has orignal engine with 115000Km
Not bad for 93 but is it gona last for a while?

I got a custom down pipe (3") with car i want to put it on but
heard bad story about ECU upgrade.
Is it safe with catback and stock airbox mode?

What is this catback?
It has some weird catback it's 3" and oval black canister and
stright angled cut tip tip is 4 or 4.5 inch i've never seen this one
during my 2year research.
but I kinda like it it's not too lous and looks good.

It is touring (canadian)model it has bose snake at the back
but infinity speaker at the doors why? infinity is part of bose?
i'm not a radio guy but this car doesn't have radiodeck former own
er took out so i have to buy deck but i heard bose is little different
can i hook up like normal speaker? If it's possible i'm gona hook up myself .I don't want spend lots of mony for radio if it plays music it's ok

Also I got jamex lowering spring with car.but again I've never heard about Fd with jamex anybody has any experience with thos spring?

Most important question How much water should be in AST.
It has some aluminum painted AST but last time I open the cap
and It wasn't full like a inch down is it normal? I don,t have any leaking, starting, smoking problem.

Thanks.
I really like this forum.

Pedro: he said 115,000Km (kilometers). so the milage is quite a bit lower than yours.

Redrotor: That's about 72000mi, which is pretty low for a 93. Has it had any major mechanical problems yet? You may want to get it checked out, and start saving for a new motor or something though, anyways. Because they always seem to break at the most inopportune times. :P

You will be fine with the downpipe and catback. The general rule is 3 mods, and you need a new ECU.

We won't be able to tell you what catback you have without some pictures.. It doesn't say who makes it on the tip?

Those infinity speakers must have been added. It should be bose all around. You don't want the stock radio anyways..it sucks. :P So find yourself a nice new radio and have it installed (let them figure it out.. most retail stores will install it for free anyways )

As far as the Jamex springs. I'd never heard of them before you mentioned them..but after doing some research, they seem to be a fairly ricey company. Meaning they don't make that many high quality products, so you may want to consider some H&Rs or Eibachs when it comes time.

and your AST is normal...Though painted aluminum? Is it aluminum? or is it just painted? Is it cylindrical? stock plastic ASTs are prone to cracking, and they are squarish. Pettit's aluminum AST is cylindrical (the new model, anyways, I don't know about the older model).

Thanks mrtini.

How about catback+downpipe+modified stock air box
It's not a full mod but i heard is preety good.
I really want try this one.if there is no danger..

my tip doesn't say any thing.
I've tole it is greddy but it's not greddy doesn't make this kind tip
and ast looks like a petty one same cylinder shape but only painted.so I think someone painted..

I'm a mechanic so i'm gona try Jamex spring.
I think it's pretty famous in europe.
I'll let youguys know.

but I have to find stock sus limit first.
maybe I can't reach the limit never!!

Thanks
