Exclamation I have prob with 1st turbo not coming online sometimes after downshifting??

this has happened about 9-10 times now where i will launch get 11 psi then then i will slow down for whatever reason let off gas then when i floor it again i get 0 psi??? wiered doesnt happen when racing only when i let off downshift and try to get WOT again??? help me please........

That sounds like a soleniod or more like a lazy soleniod since you said it works sometimes. I used to get that in my car and it would only happen in like 2nd gear. The soleniod gets lazy due to the heat and it sticks or something like that , Iam not sure.

You know, I am experiencing the exact same thing.

At first I diagnosed it as a ignition problem, so I replaced the leading coils (which weren't within spec anyway), ignition harness, sparkplugs, and spark plug wires.

Car runs a lot stronger, but the problem is still there. What Street King says about being a lazy solenoid is most likely right. And since it only affects the first turbo it could be any of, wastegate, precontrol, turbo control.

I'm even going as far as thinking of a bad actuator.

It happened to me and i switched around solenoids and fixed that problem and caused another

dammit!

this prob is a bitch ive rechecked all hoses new check valance and solenoids...???? hmmm this prob gots me stumpted i am thinkin either the solenoid is defective and i will try to test them or maybe i will try boost controler to see if that will fix the problem...

dont you just love how you fix or replace somethin and it ends up causin a mess else where this was after.......this happened after my vac hose job few months ago?
