I have an Oil Control Ring question

I'm now looking to get parts ordered for my 13B-REW and i'm getting close to re-assembly, and i'm looking at the IPC for the engine, and it doesn't match what i tore apart.
It seems as if the IPC shows a bunch of parts just for each side of the rotor for the oil control ring system. When i tore my engine down all i had on each side of my rotors was 1 ring with an o-ring layed in it. (see pics). All 4 o-rings look pretty squared off, hence why i'm replacing them. Just wondering why the IPC shows twice as many parts as what came off this engine.

Was this engine missing some oil control ring parts? Have to ask since this is my first Dorito. See the pics below

I'm guessing i'm missing a set of outer oil control rings, o-rings on both sides of both rotors.
Let me know if i'm correct on this, as i'm pretty much sure who ever did this engine last screwed the pooch royally.
I plan on getting new parts regardless
.

i lost one of the oil control ring springs (will be on order soon)

here is the obvious locations where this oil control assembly slides into the rotor

Side view showing an o-ring in the ring
Side view showing an o-ring in the ring
rotor with no oil control ring installed
rotor with no oil control ring installed
This is what came out of 1 side of this rotor (oil control ring, o-ring and spring)
This is what came out of 1 side of this rotor (oil control ring, o-ring and spring)
side view of what was on 1 side of the rotor (same would apply to the other side) Just a metal ring, the o-ring that goes in that metal ring and the spring.

Cheers,
Gene

My stack up is different than what is shown in the red circle in this pic. Could my engine Not have been correct, or am i on Crack?

rebuilding over 220 13BREWs i have seen some pretty bazaar things but that might be close to the top. if i read you correctly, one oil control ring per rotor side? amazing.

oil control rings are very important. they function similarly to the lower oil ring on a piston motor. their primary function is to is to keep the combustion chamber pressure where it belongs and not pressurize your sump. they are a fairly expensive item. it is not uncommon for them to be able to be re-used but you do know when to press the replace button. i have a ton of excellent used oil control rings so if you are in need PM me.

do replace the springs and O rings of course...

Yup, 1 oil control ring per rotor, just the inner rings. No wonder when i took this thing apart it was a mess inside. At least it got lubricated. Glad when i got it, i didn't decide to drive the car
I will shoot you a PM here in a bit.
