I have 2 Questions..........

My first question is.... my FD's air pump does not work , and the wiring is broken at the wiring harness, therefore it makes it impossible to repair. Will not having the air pump working affect the idle, driveablility, make the car run rich?

My second question is, when I floor the gas, there is a puff of white smoke that comes out of my exhaust. It does not smoke while driving normal, or any other time, other then when I floor it ( high RPM). I swear, im ready to hit this car with a hammer, this is frustrating

Different cars act different ways with the airpump removed on the stock ecu, same with street ports. Some smoke a little more some dont. It will most times make the car run richer, although keep in mind how rich the car runs even when running correctly. It shouldnt affect drivability though, but will alter teh idle a little.

The smoke is either the car running rich and blowing a lot of fuel out when you floor the car or it is the turbos showing their age. I wouldnt get too frustrated because it is pretty common for a modded rx7 to smoke a little under acceleration. Due to a bunch of reasons. Im not saying it should, but is common none the less.

If you repeatedly due WOT pulls does it smoke everytime? If you are sitting in traffic or putting around and then get on it does it smoke?

If it smokes when you are dueing repeated WOT pulls and it only smokes after both turbos are on then I would say it is just the turbos.

Well just now I realized something..... My car never smoked at all BEFORE I got my fuel injection cleaner, after I got it, the car smokes a little puff at W.O.T. , and also I have not driven the car much since I got the fuel injection cleaner. I hope this helps

and for the air pump, question, what pisses me off is that I ALMOST got it to work, in fact the air pump DOES work but as I was finishing my repairs to the wiring, the entire wire broke at the wiring harness =( now thats the end of that lol and my car DOES seem to run richer at idle (strong smell of gas) but doesnt smoke at all and idles very smooth, what do you think?

Why don't you just cut the harness open pull the wires back and crimp some new ones on???

I wasnt sure if this was safe or not, and the harness is in a hard to get location. Have you ever done this before?

the air pump feeds air into the intake manifold at idle that would it seems rough or rich at idle. Also i think there is a fuse for your air pump under the dash.
