Unhappy I guess it was only time before the boost probs got to me...

Welp... sure enough... Was heading to lunch and noticed my boost gauge only go up to 4lbs... watched at the next light and I'm only getting 4lbs of boost. If I'm on the pedal hard and I let off I can hear a release of air (BOV?) which I have never heard before. It holds a strong 4lbs tho I was driving very light this morning on the way to work so I have no clue if it worked this morning. I have the efini y-pipe sitting in my garage but I was going to wait for my down pipe to get coated and order my replacment hoses before I did the y-pipe.

My guess is it's either the y-pipe or a vac leak. Anything anyone could suggest I check? ALSO... should I park her in the garage until I get it all fixed or is it ok to drive if I have to? What kind of silicone hose would you guys suggest and where can I get it?

TIA, chris.......

Had the same thing happen to me. I too was hearing the bov thing, turned out to be the y pipe coupling. Just get an efni y pipe, should fix the problem or just get an m2 intercooler. If you plan on getting an ic in the future you could just go a rubber/hose shop and get some marine exhaust hose or truck exh hose and that'll work for a while. I used some marine exhaust hose until I got my ic.

Hmmm.... do you mean where it connected to the Y part... next the intake plentium? I poped my hood and the pipe looked a little higher than usual so I grabed it and it moves quit eaisly. I'm gussing thats my prob. Well... I guess it's time to install the efini y-pipe. I'll have to take a closer look tonight.

If you got the bucks(200 bucks+), then go Efini Y-pipe definitely. or just replace the OEM coupler for about 50 bones.

Ya... I mentioned (on a whim) above that I have the y-pipe sitting in my garage but just havn't installed it because I was waiting for the time to take her down and apart. Hopefully to do other mods at the same time. I guess it's better... one at a time So... time to give a x-mas present to my car.... and install my efini y-pipe! Thanks guys!
