So you guys don't have a low coolant buzzer?

I honestly don't know. I've never heard it go off. There is an "add coolant" light in the stock temp gauge, but I've never seen it light up either. Maybe a previous owner removed it from my car. There's no wire to suggest it was removed though (I put in a fresh rebuild three weeks ago, so I know quite well what's under my hood).

I have two sensors on the other side of the coolant filler neck, but I thought those were the stock temp sensor and the fan thermoswitch.

Look near your alternator for a thin/long grey connector that has one black wire leading to it -- that should be your coolant level sensor wire. Honestly, I think you have one, it's just that the other owner took it off.

you just gotta know how to solder, man. . . ive soldered many places on my wiring harness. . . funny thing is. . . i have no problems. . . except for being broke as hell!!! hahah.

if you dig out the center section of that sensor you should be able to reattach some wire to it. just be careful, take your time, and refill it with some silicone or something. . . but honestly, you should replace it since it actually LEAKED. you said the threads were shot. . . id replace it man.

Malloy does not charge for shipping and they are near the east coast warehouse. Other dealers have to wait up to one week for the part to arrive or they will charge you express shipping costs from the warehouse.

I talked to Ray from Malloy Mazda today -- I must say, that was the best service I have ever had. He knew his stuff -- if anyone ever needs a part, call up Roy at Malloy Mazda.
