I found out where my oil is going
for the past month... I've had to add a quart of oil every two weeks (quite a bit more than usual). No smoke or visible leaks. So I decide to change the oil (about that time anyway)... and to my dismay.. I find that the CRC copper block weld that I added to the cooling system (temp. coolant seal fix) found it's way into the oil system.
So, I am assuming that the oil musta found it's way into the cooling system as well.
So I guess my next step is flushing out the cooling system once again... and trying to seal it up... with another bottle of the CRC stuff. I can't imagine how much damage the copper granules could do to the turbos. Anyone ever experience this? I must be very close to a rebuild... but the funniest thing... is that my baby runs strong... and starts every morning without a hiccup. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

If that sealant found its way to the oil, why would you flush and add MORE?
That stuff may clog an oil line to the turbos or anything else. Thats gonna be a costly rebuild if so.
It sucks that your motor is probably headed south but if you don't fix things the right way, it costs more in the long run.

well... like I mentioned previously... found the CRC copper block weld granules in my oil... like a decent sized pile of the stuff. I did have a chance to flush out my cooling system and did find much "gunk". The water was a slight brownish color, but could not clearly identify if it had an oily residue. Perhaps the copper stuff worked it's way into the oil... but not the otherway around. But if that's the case, then I still haven't found where my oil has gone. Since my last oil change.. I haven't had to replace the oil every week for some strange reason. And just to let you guyz know... NO... I didn't accidently pour the CRC stuff in the oil filler neck...

hmmm... I think I'm pretty consistent with my driving habits... the couple months it was drinking a quart like every weeks... I don't believe I was abusing my baby. One thing I forgot to mention is that I did add about half a quart of MMO because I had planned to change to oil soon.... wonder if the stuff thinned out the oil any.

Check in your Intercooler piping and IC - thats where all my oil goes - my turbos are blowing oil at the rate of 1qt/400mi into my intake - but it doesn't smoke except when transitioning to WOT.
