I failed air care by a bit any tricks to pass?

I have a down pipe with main cat in place with catback exhaust. I went to air care with the main cat put on to pass air care and my numbers came out a bit off of the allowable amount. Now what can I do to pass air care with the downpipe in place. I have one trick I have and I will be putting it to use on the next air care inspection, guys have any others? one guy told me to put alchohol in the gasoline, My rotary shop nearby says I have to purchase a precat to help me pass, but that is a load of BULLSHIT, cause I KNOW YOU CAN PASS WITH JUST A DOWNPIPE IN PLACE. Any ideas? I have one that I GOT FROM PETTIT RACING any others?

When was the last time you changed your plugs and O2 sensor?

did you run the car hard before taking it there? You want the cat to really heat up. And yes you can pass with a DP.

heres a link you should check out:

run your tank down to 5 gallons of gas and dump 1 gallon of alchohol in it from the hardware store when you are done fill your tank all the way up with gas as it will run like crap with the 5-1 mixture.

Make sure you have it good and hot before taking it in. Honestly, that should be all you need to do. If you did that, then I'm stumped.

I didn't pass aircare with the dp.. i had a dp and catback and failed it by a little bit.. and i took it into a rotary shop and told me i had to put the dp back in.. i put the dp back in and passed with flying colors.. but i know of other rx7's that have passed with the dp still.. just make sure u're using new plugs, o2 sensors, etc..
