HVAC Control Parts

Hello folks, I am having an issue with my vent control and temp control. They simply do not want to go and stay where I tell them too.

I have odered all new panels and ***** but my question is what are the actual technical terms for the parts behind the panel? I have been trying all kinds of searches and making up words that sound right. I just want to replace all of that when I replace my panels.

Oh this is for a 1993 if that makes a difference. Thank you for the help!

The HVAC control computer that has the parts/switches that the ***** attach to and command all the HVAC functions is no longer available new from Mazda, if that is what you are looking for. I forget the actual Mazda name for it though. You will need to look for a good used part for this one, they do come up from time to time in the FS section.

I think the only electrical part still available fan speed control switch - getting a new one of these is a good idea if you are using a PFC as this can restore AC function at various fan speeds that can stop working when a PFC.

I am seeing some panels available out there but I'm still not sure what the name of the part/s I am looking for is called. It appears there are many more RHD available but I am not sure if the controls on the back are interchangeable. Thanks for the help and support so far.

Anyone else out there have the parts or know the names so my searching can be more tailored?

The controls all mount onto the panel, it’s not a “unit” per se. once it’s apart you can replace the components as the wiring allows. I’m not sure if a RHD component would work in a LHD panel.

I need to change out my temp control ****, it works but has a ton of play in it, something broke internally allowing the **** to turn too much.
