HP rating question?

Stock RX7 has 255hp:
Stock RX7 has 220 RWHP:

So when manufacturers rate horsepower
at the fly wheel.. How do they
measure that?? do they actually
Hook something up to the Flywheel???

Doing the math i figured that 14% of power
is beign lost thru the drive train..

So if someone claims to have 300RWHP.
they have 342 HP at the fly wheel???

And is that 14% loss of HP thru the drive train
constant?? So more power you have more
power you lose thru the drivetrain??

Just an observation...

Since i am posting. I got a quick question:

HOW do you get to the center speaker on teh dash??
Do you just pop the cover ? or you have to take apart
the whole dash???

Thanks

Those calcs sound about right, and yes the more you make the more you lose.. that 14% is a constant. To take off the center speaker use a small flat head screwdriver to carefully pry up the cover, it just pops off. You can unscrew and remove the speaker from there, takes 2 minutes.
