How was your weekend?

Mine sucked.
Thursday I crank her up for the weekend, drive 10 miles, notice some steam coming from the driver headlight area. Didnt think to much of it, I keep going.
a few miles later, and on the way home, the coolant buzzer startles me for about 2 secconds before shutting off again. Autometer is reading normal at ~185.
I get home, look around and much to my suprise I see this:

Great, About 15 minutes ago (sunday evening) this is what I've spent alot of my weekend doing.

So not only did I not get to drive my car this weekend I also have to buy a new radiator, finish installing my midpipe and PFC, remove the lines from the air pump to the cat, buy a wideband o2, have the bung welded- along with the brackets to hold the midpipe up, and probabily replace some stuff I dont know I broke yet.

Oh well, This whole time I thought my coolant seals were shot

Get a Koyo, don't even screw around.

Also order an 800 mm belt or if you HAVE to have the car run a 30" 4-rib also works to run without airpump.

**** happens but this just goes to show you why a water temp gauge is so important!

come again? i dont get it, your radiator is busted? where did it crack from? in anycase, those are pretty easy/cheap fixes compared to if your coolant seals were shot. (10 year old car will have small problems occationaly)

BTW: if there was steam comming up from my hood, i would stop driving immedieatly!

well so far this weekend I:

1) finally found out where my tail lights are. i sent them to rzograbian to get converted to 99spec style. i sent them on Dec. 24th via UPS 3-day service and he isnt scheduled to get them till tomorrow (jan 4)

2) got my car back from the body shop. i had to get that dent & chipped paint fixed from my dad dropping a surf board on it. only $430 to get a little dent and some chipped paint fixed! but it turned out perfect and the paint looks flawless.

2) ordered some TEIN stech springs (hey im too poor for coil overs right now!)

3) ordered an HKS downpipe

4) been pissed off in general because i wont be able to drive my car for atleast 4 more days!

but on the brighter side i spent a good deal of time with my girl this weekend...she got a new bikini too

Good deal.
Did they massage the dent out and/or did this involve bondo?
