How to turn the fuel pump on with the car off?

I just replaced my FPD, injectors, and o-rings and I want to check for leaks before I put the UIM and stuff back on. I am wondering what i need to do to make the fuel pump turn on.

On my brother's 240sx, the pump runs with the key turned to "on" but I don't know it it's the same for our cars. I think I've read somewhere about jumping it somewhere in the dianostics box.

put a paperclip or cut a small piece of wire on the gnd and fp connectors in the little black box labeled diagnositics. very good idea to check your work

yes if you turn the key to the on position the pump will run enough to prime the system. having someone doing it over and over will work while you look around but why not use the paperclip and take it off when you're done

how many miles on the fpd before this happened?

Doh, beaten by a second.

Location:

A small rectangular black box marked "diagnostics", located above the battery and in front of the drivers shock tower. The cover has a pin map on the underside.
