how the turbos work

ok im new to the rx7..once again i have a 94 which i dont even have yet its getting shipped across country to me..anyway..how do the turbos work does one come on at a certain rpm and then the other or what..how does it work..and ya i know im leaving myself open for all the **** to talk **** but i need to know ..

Didnt you say in your last post, that your secondary was not coming online? But now the car is being shipped across the country to you?

Basics...
A turbo is a air pump. A turbo uses exhaust gasses (very hot and still expanding) to drive a impellor (think high performance pinwheel) attached to a shaft attached to another impellor. The other impellor forces air into the engine. If there is more air then the engine requires more fuel, this means more power.

The first turbo comes on as soon as there is enough exhuast gas to spool it up. Stock or bolt on mods they should give pretty decent boost by 1800rpm under heavy load.

Second turbo comes on at 4500rpm.

the out flow air from your engine will spin the turbo fan that will pump more good air into your rotor. More air means more fuel and better, more powerful combusion. That give your engine more power without having more rotor or larger one.
