Cool How tall are you?

OK

I love the FD but I am 6'1" and when I get in a rush I sure as heck smack my head on the door frame. Now this isn't the cars fault and frankly I know better than to stand up quickly as opposed to virtually rolling out but how many others have done this and how tall are you?

I'm 5'10"-5'11" and I have no problem getting in and out of the FD. But I just can't heel-toe, there's no room! I'm gonna have to get a new steering wheel or some lower seats.

I'm 5' 10"-11". I really don't have any issues in the car if I keep my seat leaned back. Though it can be rough getting out of the car. And yeah, if I lean into the car to grab something, I tend to bang my head on the door frame. That really freakin' hurts!!!

BTW, is that you Francisco??

I haven't tried heel-toe yet in the FD. Next month I'm going to some autocross events, I may give it a try then, but I'm not so sure about it with the stock pedals...

I'm 6'1" with a long torso. (only a 32" inseam). My only issue is getting in/out when I can't open the door wide enough.

5'1" here too! ;-)

I wish my steering wheel was adjustable since it's not really a problem to see over for me but I don't like to have my arms up that high when I put them on top of the steering wheel.

The guy who originally enticed me into getting an FD was 6'2" and it looked like getting in and out was the only issue.

I'm 6'3, aside from the occasional head smack if im not paying attention my biggest issue is the steering wheel, I have to put my right leg on the right side of the wheel and drop down into the car, my leg doesn't fit under the wheel if I get all the way in and then try and slide over. I got the Kirk roll bar that mounts in the bins, if I had gotten the standard bar, I'd be screwed.

Hasn't this been discussed like a bizillon times? Oh well - I'm 6'3", 200lbs and have to sit my *** in the seat first and then move my legs in. I've found this is the easiest way in. I've also removed about 1/2 of the foam from the seat bottom so I can fit with a helmet. Putting in a smaller steering wheel next week, which will help lots with the heel/toe action. Right now my knee hits the wheel.

Hehe, what is it with girls under 5'4" and the Fd? Are all of you short? Maybe I should send you the leftover foam from my seat...

You should have posted "who’s the tallest “and "who the shortest". This thread is a retread.

I am 6'1 and I just fit. I just read a thread and the guy say's he’s 6’5, that’s huge for a FD.

Can someone stand up and claim the tallest FD driver?

Well I probably would have realized it was a re-thread but I hit my head on the door frame just before the desire to post overcame me.

I'm 5' 9"-10". Man, what's up with all the tall people! Almost everyone is over 6'! I fit like a glove in my FD.
