Angry How to seperate trans from block?

I've looked at the manual and even threads with pics but I still don't know what i'm doing wrong.

The release fork is released and towards the rear of the trans'.

The wire ring, at least I think its the wire ring is pushed in to the clutch all the way and tucked in there. Is this part wrong? Was that ring supposed to have been pulled out all the way and not pushed in?

If you have the throw-out bearing released from the wedge collar, that's it. Just pull the tranny out.

If not, to release the throw-out bearing; push it the throw-out bearing into the pressure plate. With a screwdriver (or something else), hold the wedge collar against the pressure plate and pull the throw-out bearing back which should release it.

You can also just use the inspection hole to undo the bolts on the pressure plate if all else fails.

My mechanic said to go in through the inspection and starter holes to remove the 6 pressure plate bolts . If you try to pry out the ring and bend it he would not reuse it . A new one is $35 so he has been told . Have fun .

ok, got it and it only took one whole day.

Thanks to RX7Crazy for tanslating throw out bearing to wedge colar and for the pics. Oh and telling me to keep the block and trans flat or even hight. I put the trans on a piano mover thing, while the block was on the hoist. i think it would have been better if both were on a cart but I only had one. I used a breaker bar to wedge them apart.
