How to remove Rear Wiper and Sunroof?

Hey all,

I'm getting ready to paint my car and I need to remove the rear wiper arm and motor along with the sunroof. I've downloaded a few service manuals and the page that I need is missing (of course). I've done a few searches on here and come up with nothing.

If anyone knows how to do this, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

The rear wiper:

On the actual wiper (exterior of the car), there is a little cap that covers a 10mm bolt. The cap is hinged, just move it up and remove this bolt to remove the wiper arm.

Then, open the hatch, carefully remove (pop off) the black interior plastic under the hatch. (Be careful not to break any tabs.) Once you have the interior plastic removed, you'll be able to see the motor. It's pretty self explanatory from there. There are a series of bolts holding the motor onto the hatch. Remove those, and the main power wire from the motor and you're done.

The sunroof:

If I remember correctly; open your sunroof and remove the sunroof liner (interior leather/pleather part - I believe it's held on with tabs; you'll have to just pop it loose from the sunroof lid). Once you have that out, you'll see 4, 10mm nuts holding the sunroof in place. Simply remove those 4 nuts, and the sunroof lid will come right off. FYI: to get to some of the nuts, you'll have to move the sunroof open and closed to gain access to them.

Thanks so much for the reply. I had everything removed for the rear wiper, but completely missed the plastic cap covering the bolt.

I kind of thought I would have to remove the liner for the sunroof, but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks again, your help is greatly appreciated!!!

I thought you meant remove them permanently. I was thinking, really regretting that touring model, huh? :P

Haha...No I'd never remove any of that. Going to keep it as original as possible....
