How often should a turbo rotary engine...
...run. I dont mean as how many minutes...I meant how often. I just dont have enough time to drive it. It is not for sale so pls dont ask...

Mine sat for about six months at the most while I was away at school, came back, checked the fluids and air pressure, gave the battery a little juice and it fired right up. FWIW, temps didn't drop below freezing where it was stored. But, given a choice, I'd drive it for 45-60 minutes at least once a week to get it up to temp and get the fluids moving around and the motor lubricated. Josh

No it's not Turbo'd
If you're gonna let it sit for long, try and empty the fuel lines before you leave it... fuel will "Gum" up in the lines if left in there too long... Oil and everything else can sit for quite some time and be Okay... but it's not a bad idea to drain... I've never heard of power seteering / brake fluid to cause any issues.... other than that take the battery out, and cover "her" up... to prevent paint fade etc.... The e-brake thing isn't that big of a deal, in California... due to low humidity... and rust not beeing a huge problem, but then again depends on if you keep in inoperable through the winter (aka rainy season) you might want to put some wheel chalks behind the front or rear wheels...

yeah, def disconnect the battery even if you let the car sit for one week. and the e-brake thing makes sense. i remember when i had my talon the winter of 02, i would let it sit for about a week or more due to high accumulation of snow, the first day of driving after it being sat, i put the ebrake down and tried to move and it had a hard *** time. i couldnt figure out what was wrong, then when i got to hill, it didnt want to roll back so i knew the cable froze or rusted locked or something.
so what i did for the rest of that winter was carry a brick with me, get to my stop, put the ebrake for a second, place the brick towards the direction it may roll from, get back in the car, and put it in gear..
then i was a happy camper.
