How much power loss can be attributed to bad spark plugs?
I lost 30 hp at the wheels with bad plugs. Take a look at both the spark plug section and dyno section on my web site. I think a lot of owners don't change their plugs often enough.
You guys making power really need to step up to a B10EGV or the new Iridium (sp?) version which is BR10EIX
Gap them to about .022
You'll need to buy a special thin wall socket for them. There is a guy on the forum that sells the socket for $20 shipped. If you search plug socket in the general for sale sectino you'll prob find him. If not I can look his name up for you.
They also last good. I ran a set of B10egv for 10K miles at 18psi of boost daily, worked like a charm. Just put in some BR10EIX based on Chris Andersons suggestion but I havent driven them yet.
You'll like those plugs....OH YEA, THEY ARE CHEAP haha

I searched on the internet and it looks like they're for pistons.
You can pick them up anywhere that sells Japanese Motorcycles or snowmobiles. They are gapable. There are several different plugs denoted b10eg. I use the b10egi which uses a resistor. The b10egv has a plat core. I think there are three others but I cant remember. If the bike shop has an NGK book they are all listed with a description of the cores.
b10egi's are awesome.
I took a standard socket and used a grinder to brink the end mass down. About 1 inch needs to be thin.
