How much HP can the stock clutch handle?
I'm about to have my '94 FD up and running and just installed a brand new OEM clutch. What HP can this clutch handle?
My mods are only a street port and intake right now but will add a downpipe very soon. Also, sometime this year I hope I will have catback exhaust, midpipe, PFC, and boost 12 psi.
When do you think I will need to change the clutch? I'm sure it will handle just the street port and intake for now...right?

Not sure of my hp, but have a dp, cat-back, RB intake with K&N, and aluminum flywheel. No slipping for 2 years. I put in a new OEM clutch when I had the flywheel installed.

None.
Clutches hold torque, Not horsepower..
That being said ~250-275 ft/lbs of torque and the stock clutches holding ability will likely be compromised. So that equals a ton of boltons - or a small single!

you are absolutely correct...but 300rwhp in an FD fits into that range of torque. Just keeping it simple.
At 15psi i am making 300ft lbs and the stock clutch is basicallly worthless at this point...i found that out yesterday at the strip.
