Question How much does an RX7 Cost? Daily Drivers Look

How much does it cost to maintain an Rx7 yearly? I'm not talking about gas, insurance, oil, loan payments all that, i'm talking about in maintenace. Everything short of the motor blowing (strong motor), and with an owner who does all the reliablity mods and takes good care of the car. I was told 5 thousand a year easily, and personally I think that is crap. I'm thinking for more of the people who drive the rex's everyday.

Including my REBUILD w/Streetport /Mods and all Maint. & Repairs I have spent Just less than $14K In TWO Years of ownership, Rebuild and Mods came to $11K but that also include some Maint type items, like Susp. Bump Stops, Auto Trans service, and Fuel Filter etc. Also the work was done at one of the HIGHER PRICED Shops.

I use my REX as my daily driver and to commute a couple times a week between Ventura & Santa Barbara CA (40mi ea way)

I checked the original sticker I saved, it said $1,200 for gas each year.

Hmmmm, I have not spent one thin dime on my car since I bought it nearly 16 months ago, that I didn't want to spend. I upgraded the stereo, and put on factory mud guards, and added a boost gauge and a downpipe.
I spend about $10 every 6 weeks or so on oil changes that I do myself, I do them at 1500 mile intervals roughly. I have put a new battery in the car, had the windows tinted, but you see, I have had NO repair issues, is the point I am making.
So if you disregard the improvements I have made, and the normal maintenance, I have spent........ZERO!

Daily drive. The costs so far have been only on upgrades and average maintenance. Knock on wood.
