How much does the R2 FD3 weigh?

Hi,

I am trying to find out how much the car weighs exactly to input the correct value into my GTech Pro.

I think the car weighs 1240Kg

Is that with or without fuel or passengers?

Is the following correct?

1240kg - car
? kg for petrol (how much does a litre of fuel weigh?)
75kg for me
50kg for girlfriend
extra 10kg approx for aftermarket wheels

Total 1375kg plus fuel

What do you think?

Trevor

Exactly. You'll need to find a precision scale (not a truck scale) like used for balancing corners to know for real. Otherwise, your guess is probably good to within +/- 50kg. So try inputting the number +50, and number -50, and see how much it affects your GTech results. If that's unacceptable error (and check the GTech documentation for the inherent error in the device), then go find the scale.

You can go to your local NHRA track, they have scales there.

Hi, thanks for the replies.

Here in Mauritius, we don't have any track scales. Unfortunately I will have to guess.

With regards to my first post. Am I near enough with my guess to try the +/- 50kg test with the GTech?

Thanks
