How much can I get for parting my car?
I just bought a new G35 coupe and my FD has got to go. I'm not in a rush to sell it so I'm wondering how much I can look to make if I parted it out. It's a vintage red 93 r1 with black interior. The engine is dead, there are a few scratches on the body. There is also a little damage to the bumper, hood, drivers side front fender and drivers side headlight from a little accident my gf had. The rest of the car is in great condition. Would I be better of selling the car whole or parting it out? I want to get rid of it in about a 6 month time frame so would I be better off selling it whole? Thanks guys.

better off selling it in my opinion. you don't have any real goodies/mods on there. plus if you part it out you are talking about spending many many nights pulling **** off the car and running down to UPS to ship it out and buying boxes and dealing with a shell of a car on your property while your neighbors complain about it.

If the interior/exterior is in good condition, then IMO you should not part out every single bit and piece.
If the motor is dead you could sell it to somebody as a core, or as a spare engine to build. If you have aftermarket mods then you can sell that seperately. The chassis can (minus engine) can be sold for $5K-$7.5K to somebody who needs a project car to work on (built 13BREW, 20B, V8 swap, etc). If you sell of bits and pieces of the interior, it may decrease your chances of selling the chassis as a potential project.

No it's not Turbo'd
If you want to sell the chassis minus the engine... let me know... I have an Engine minus the chassis...
I might be able to buy it off you and try to piece together a car or if you want we can get together and try and sell a complete car (Worth More Money) than two non working pieces...
