Hey everyone,
I just went to a single set-up and have a buyer for my stock turbo assembly (from my R1). The turbos have only 30K miles, and are in pretty good condition (no cracks...etc.). He wants to buy the entire turbo assembly, including the cast iron manifold, pre-wastegate, and wastegate.
What is the fair market value to sell this stuff used, considering it is in really good shape? I just don't want to get bit in the *** on this one. Thx everyone.

I don't know but I would say yes $500 is to low...
I would make my price 50-60% of what a new replacement from mazda runns...
$500 sounds right if manifold cracked but turbine wheels / housings are fine...
But I have no real basis, I actually wanted to see what one brings so I could set my price...
Be weary of anyone telling you less, tehy might want to buy it at that !

I'm guessing somewhere between $500 and $1000 would be a reasonable price...
I'd say $500 or less. You can get your own turbos rebuilt by BNR for ~$750. I've seen many used twins on this board running from between $200-$500.
As far as 'including' all that stuff, it better be included.

$500 is TOP dollar. Since there's no way to mic them without taking them apart it's a crap shoot at best buying them used.
This is a $3,000.00 retail component when bought new, but it has absolutely no bearing on used prices.
It's a roll of the dice - and unless I had good maintenance records on oil changes at every 1500 miles I would not touch them.

It seems as though $600 might be reasonable considering they are in really good condition and I do have all the maintenance records. I do not want to rip anyone off, I just want a price fair for both the buyer and seller. Thx for all the help guys.
