driving an underpowered FWD car is definitly a good thing for a new driver, not because you 'need to learn how to drive a FWD car', but because you need to learn how to drive and handle road situations without being hindered by the vehicle itself, hence why most teenagers who get a high powered sports car (rwd or fwd for that matter) end up wrecking them, a good number of my friends in HS wrecked some pretty expensive cars and it was because their parents didn't have the forsight to buy them something better to learn with... and no, buying your own car means nothing, if you dont respect the car, its power and its potential, you will wreck it :tonque:...

this is definitly not my first car, i think my auto ownership is somewhere in the mid teens at this point :tonque:, and i purchased all of them on my own, well with the help of the bank sometimes...

My insurance is 3100$ a year with AAA at full coverage when i first had it, but now since after a few classes it droped to 2700$ ^^ a year.

I am not going to say that you shouldn't buy an FD, but you need to know what you are REALLY getting into. These cars, from what I have read, are money pits and will probably cost more than you have to upkeep. That isn't fun. They are also very powerful - many much older men don't have cars this fast, and they have much more experience.

I bought an '86 944 Turbo as my first car, which was definitely stupid. However, I hold myself back. Every day kids from the school peel out of the parking lot and go zipping up the road in cars that are less capable - I am in a perfectly capable, highly modified sports car going the speed limit. You should practice that. Driving is the best mod, and I know I don't have enough experience to be racing everywhere I go.

You can't be perfect, but don't act like a child. If you can't afford the car in the long run (I can only afford the 951 because I do my own work) and you can't drive responsibly at least until you have more experience, don't buy it. Every kid slips up, but in this case you are driving a very fast car that you probably would want to make faster.

i know alot and you can say i drive like a grandma...i baby my car so much(exept on the track) .
I know what im getting into, Money is going to be a bit of a problem but i will try my best and if i have to ill borrow some $$ from family. But other then that i do know how much power and how to control my 7.

O yeah im not one of the teens that peelout, everyone tells me to but i dont disrepect cars and w/e someone does that around it i get pretty mad for stupid reasons...
